Jack 4.0

Bridge programs from Kuijf & Kuijf Software

Kuijf & Kuijf Software is a Dutch company, which has produced the program Jack, which has won the World Championship for computers five times during tha llast six years (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2009). Jack is a program developed "by bridge players and for bridge players" and is without doubt The best bridge program in the world. The current version is 5.0, which appeared in the end of 2009.

It offers a very user friendly interface and has many levels to choose among. The higher level you choose, the better Jack plays. You can create your own convention card using many different conventions, or use any of the built in convention cards like Standard American Yellow Card, 2-over-1 Game-Force or Dutch Acol.

Among other features: With Jack you can play over a local network or over the Internet with up to four humans. You can also download tournaments from Jack's home page, or create your own tournaments – duplicate, IMPs or IMP pairs.

If you have version 4 of Jack and want to upgrade to version, you can buy an update disk from Scania Bridgekonsult. Older versions can't be upgraded.

In the end of 2004 a new program was released from Kuijf & Kuijf: Tournaments 2002, which consists of no less than 1749 deals, which can be played on Jack. All deals are from strong tournaments played during 2002. Dutch super stars Berry Westra and Simon de Wijs has provided personal comments on all deals they have played themselves, and Dejan Markovic has annotated all deals from the World Pairs Championship in Montreal 2002, especially for this CD.
